Over the hills and far away Labiara - September, 2004

I grow tired of taking abuse from in and outside the guild regarding the lack of updates, so I'm going to make a minimal effort here and hope it flies. After facing the drudgery of some of the GoD content, several members decided to retire from EQ. We wish them all well and hope to see them in future MMO's. Their shoes can not be filled, but we've been fortunate to have many skilled applicants pick up the gauntlet and integrate with our team. Progression is back on the menu. Thats not to say that we havent been busy farming - nay, nay I say. What would EQ be without farming?! Probably just a bunch of idiot newb trains in OoW. One good thing about declining summer attendance: you get to try events with sometimes silly low numbers. Four-group Quarm kill anyone?! So at this point we're farming Time and the Ikkinzes pretty hard. We've poked our head in to Uqua, and conquering that is obviously the next big task. The Omens of War preorder screen has reappeared in-game, which is distressing, as SOE has not followed up on a great number of issues that they had listed as under scrutiny. I really hope they delay the launch of the next expansion until all the issues with Gates and general game mechanics are resolved. GW may be looking for a very small number of applicants. If you meet the requirements posted in our app forum, are Time/KT flagged, and are a seriously kick-ass player, you can post a message in the "Leave a message for the officers" forum on our boards or PM any officer there. Well, that was fun. Fourth trip to Time and Quarm is down. Possibly a record. After using the Coirnav / Kobayashi Maru maneuver on a couple of the greater gods, we made it up to the big mama-jama. It's about at this point that my cable modem went on hiatus, but waking up this morning and seeing "Quarm - Guild First" in the DKP system reminded me of why I'm so pleased to be a member of this guild. I knew we could do it, every other member knew we could do it, and we got it done. Planes of Power - done. *bleedeep* We are pleased to be the third guild on the server to accomplish this feat. When we started this guild, I knew we had the drive to get here - it's very rewarding to see the goal realized. Initial foray in Time = bunch of dead crap Bi-Triny - June, 2004

Saturday night, we went in to Time for the first... time. We weren't really sure what to expect as far as difficulty goes, and we were kinda confused by conflicting reports as to how the instancing works. But we usually dont worry about crap like that anyway, so why start now. We started by beating tiers 1 through 3 on the first try, and we quickly found ourselves in tier 4, in the presence of the lesser gods. After plotting and scheming about how to beat Terris Thule for, oh, about an hour, we finally just decided to beat her down. That worked - dead TT, first try. Then we looked to Saryrn. The "beat her down" strat seemed to apply once again, and lo, it worked - Saryrn down, first try. Feeling pretty good about ourselves, we looked to Tallon Zek. Knowing from research that he is no joke, we schemed a bit, and made a run or two at him. We ended up calling it a night at that point, and came back the next to resume. We got him down to 17%, but got jacked by the "mob in wall / cant cast or hit him" bug, so that was lame. He's cooked tho next time. Fun zone! Lots of loots. Well worth the effort.
